Today's devotion is Ephesians 3:16-20. As we go out in the community we go with the inner strength to do his work and touch others hearts

Today was another great day. We spent some time at a nursing home. We did chair exercises (that were surprisingly difficult!), played a new game called heads up and played charades. We were all laughing and cheering and generally having a fabulous time that the nursing staff had to come more than once to shush us. Yes wild party at the nursing home - really! Afternoon was more fun with the kids club. We sang this little light of mine and rise and shine. There was a skit, we quizzed the kids on the bible verse, did some crafts and read some stories. Of course there were also games, lots of running around the gym and laughter We had gathering where we talked about our day and examples of where we saw God making a difference. We also met with just our church group. We had a lot if serious discussion, some giggling and some tears. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm excited to see what's in store! Good night and God bless!

Today's devotion scripture is Romans 5:6-8 and john 3:16-18. Our theme for the day is to step in like Jesus thinking about how we can step in initiate conversation or change interrupt the problem and intercede to represent someone in need. A reminder that we are the salt. S. Stop and give your full attention A. Ask questions and build relationships by truly listening L. Love others by truly feeling compassion T. Touch someone's life How can you be the salt that Jesus would have you be? How can you reach out to those around you?

We had a quick dinner of pulled pork, Mac and cheese and salad then orientation. Our scripture was john 13. The story of Jesus washing the disciples feet. We sang some songs (Kristin got Teary eyed) and met as just our group for devotions. We talked about the scripture. How Jesus washed the feet even of the one who betrayed him and what Jesus did that we strive to also do. Well off for breakfast!

So. We made a little bit of a wrong turn in Kansas City and ended up in Columbia, MO before we realized it (pull out your maps folks, that's about 45 miles east). Then we had an impressive rain storm for about 20 minutes or so. With all of that, we ended up being about 30 minutes late getting in. So much for Kristin's time cushion!
